About Us
We have a passion for great horses.
While Rodeo Ranch may have only been established in 2020, don't let that fool you. We have years of experience breeding, raising, and training high quality performance horses.
Our Story
Rodeo Ranch is mainly located in Cheyenne, Wyoming in the summertime & Wickenburg, Arizona in the winter time, with additional operations in Wheatland & Laramie, Wyoming. Rodeo Ranch is a family owned operation, ran by Dave & Cindy DeLancey with the help of their daughter, Raegen DeLancey.
Dave is the head of ranch operations and the training program. Dave has been apart of the industry since he was born, and is a 3rd generation cowboy. A former PRCA bronc rider with various pro-rodeo wins and prestigious qualifications, he has also had a rope in his hand his whole life. Dave has various helpful equine based degrees, including a bachelors of science in equine management from Laramie County Community College, and an applied science of farrier technology from Northwest Missouri State University, under the direction of Dr. Doug Butler. He was a professional farrier for over 25 years, and has trained young for the past 35 years. When it comes to training horses, Dave believes in taking his time and not skipping steps, this builds confidence in young horses.
Cindy DeLancey is the mastermind behind the breeding program. Cindy is in the know on all things related to breeding winners. With an intense understanding of genetics, Cindy is dedicated to crossing Rodeo Ranch stallions on phenomenally bred, proven mares. Rodeo Ranch's program doesn't just focus on the stallion's bloodlines, but the maternal bloodlines as well. Cindy has also done an outstanding job building Rodeo Ranch's stallion program from the ground up, which has been her passion since establishing Rodeo Ranch in 2020. Cindy is the driving force behind creating a herd of 4 stallions that are enrolled in all of the major incentives including the Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle, Riata Buckle, the Royal Crown, the Diamond Classic & more!

Rodeo Ranch always has excellence in mind. Dave & Cindy understand the importance of a good trainer. We have worked closely with some of the nation's best trainers to instill this excellence in our athletes. We hand pick colt starters that hold an understanding of what is needed to establish a solid foundation in our 2 year olds. When it comes to rope horse training, Tate Kirkenschlager has competed off of various Rodeo Ranch athletes, including Heza Fiery Fling. Heza Fiery fling was also trained by Christine Dorenzo, an NFR qualifier in the barrel racing. He is currently gearing up to be shown by 3x NFR qualifier Christy Hefley for the 2025 pro-rodeo season. Fiestas Dynasty was bred by Jud Little, and trained in the barrels by Kelly Yates and in the roping by JD Yates. Rodeo Ranch is proud to work/have worked with some of the nation's leading trainers, and plans to continue to work with these trainers in the future to continue to bring you the high quality horses our clients expect to wear the reverse DVD brand.
